We do not share the data of our visitors and registered users with external parties, with the exception of anonymized visit statistics required by funding agencies.
What are my data rights?
For users who register on our website as submitters or peer reviewers, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile until such time as they choose to delete their accounts. All users can see, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Likewise, for those who have filled out our peer review volunteer form, data is kept onsite until such time as you request to delete or amend it, by email to the editor.
If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you.
What happens to my submission
Submissions received through our dashboard are accessible only to yourself and the editor-in-chief of Facts & Frictions. They are shared with peer reviewers via our site’s secure anonymous submissions platform. Published works are published on our site and receive permanent digital object identifiers (DOI). They are also shared permanently at archive.org We do not unpublish works unless compelled by law. Rejected works are permanently deleted.
